At KINESSO UK&I, we're proud to be a Google Marketing Platform (GMP) Tier 1 Partner, meaning we work closely with organisations using GMP to implement best practice analytics and consent solutions that enable effective, privacy-first marketing.

Below are some examples of how we’ve helped global organisations supercharge their marketing measurements through tailored Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manger (GTM) and consent implementations.

User Consent Management: Cross-Tech Enablement

Several organisations faced a fixed deadline to upgrade Microsoft Clarity consent signals in line with updated privacy requirements. While Google Consent Mode provides a strong foundation for consent management, additional platform-specific consent requirements meant further configuration was needed to ensure Clarity signals were passed accurately and consistently.

We implemented a bespoke solution using Google Tag Manager to orchestrate consent signals from the clients’ consent management platform into the Microsoft Clarity Consent API. This ensured platform-specific consent requirements were met without impacting user experience or the quality of insights available.

Outcome: Consent-driven Clarity data was upgraded and live ahead of deadline using a scalable, future-ready framework.

GA4 Consultancy Support: Configuration through GTM

A global organisation identified persistent GA4 configuration errors that threatened the loss of automatic event measurement. The root cause was a consent-first setup, where Google Tag Manager only loaded after user consent, which delayed GA4 initialisation and limited event capture.

We reworked the configuration so GA4 could initialise correctly, while Google Consent Mode controlled how data was used based on user privacy preferences - resolving the configuration errors and restoring consistent measurement without compromising privacy standards.

Outcome: Reliable, privacy-compliant GA4 tracking was restored, supporting accurate measurement and confident decision-making.

GA4 Consultancy Support: GTM Configuration

An organisation required greater visibility of user behaviour and e-commerce performance across its online store. Initial reviews highlighted incomplete data layer implementations, missing event pushes and gaps across key checkout and purchase interactions.

Working alongside development teams, we implemented a structured remediation approach to ensure all critical events were captured and aligned with GA4 best practices. This delivered consistent, accurate tracking across the full customer journey.

Outcome: End-to-end visibility of e-commerce performance was achieved with reliable, event-based GA4 tracking.

Enabling GA4 User-ID Tracking and sGTM Optimisation

For organisations looking to deepen insight into authenticated user journeys, we supported the enablement of GA4 User-ID tracking alongside server-side Google Tag Manager (sGTM) optimisation.

Digging deeper, our reviews revealed gaps in data layer completeness and limited visibility across logged-in interactions.

By implementing privacy-compliant User-ID tracking and strengthening server-side infrastructure, we improved data resilience and accuracy while future-proofing measurement.

Outcome: Privacy-compliant user identification unlocked stronger attribution and more reliable GA4 insight.
